How far ahead do we need to book?
Most schools and kindys book about two terms out. Flick us a message or give us a call anytime and we'll find a date that works for you.
What do you need from us on photo day?
Not much at all! Every school and kindy is a bit different, so we'll chat with you beforehand about what we'll need. We'll also send you a poster a couple of weeks before so families know what's coming, and give you a call the Monday before to run through the details. Usually it's just a space to set up, some chairs, a student runner or two, and a plan B if it rains.
How long does a photo day take?
Every school and kindy is different, so it mostly comes down to how many students or children we're photographing. Whatever the size, we work efficiently and keep things running smoothly, so there's as little disruption to your day as possible.
How do families order?
We keep it easy for families. Most schools order online: after photo day, families get an order link by email, or we can send home printed order slips if you'd prefer. Most kindys use envelope ordering, where families take home a sample photo and pop their order back in the envelope. That said, every school and kindy is different. Smaller schools sometimes prefer envelope ordering, and some kindys like to go online, so we'll go with whatever suits you best.
How do the photos get back to us?
Before anything gets printed, we'll send you the class photos to check the names and give us the thumbs up. Then we print everything in-house, sort it by class and courier it back to you, ready to hand out.
Do you do group photos, like sports teams or kapa haka?
We sure do! As well as class photos, we're happy to do sports teams, kapa haka, house leaders, student council, you name it.
What if a student is away on photo day?
It happens. Depending on the situation, we may set up a catch-up day with your school for anyone who missed out. That comes down to numbers and our availability, so we can't always make it work. If a family really wants a photo, they're welcome to get in touch with us directly and we'll sort out a time for them to pop into the studio.
